I'm a single mother of two truly amazing boys. I also am an accountant by day and a housekeeper (of my own home) by night. I don't drive a mini van and never will and my hair style changes on a monthly basis. There's more, in numbered form if your curiosity is peaked.
A list:
- I watch entirely too much television and most of it's bad television. I used to swear I'd never watch reality tv and yet I'm probably watching The Real Housewives right now.
- I have two boys that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. Also, I've been a mother for nearly half my life and I'm only 32.
- Collecting jewelry is a hobby of mine. Some might call it an obsession.
- I'm a vegan in Texas and if that's not an oxymoron I don't know what is.
- Within the last year I've discovered exercise as something I enjoy doing. Don't get me wrong, I have days where it feels like a chore but once I get started there's no stopping me.
- I much prefer having the windows down while driving than the pesky a/c. Living in Texas makes it impossible 90% of the year but I take advantage when the mercury dips below 90.
- One of my Grand Illusions is that I'm an excellent home decorator. I've been told that my house is fun! and cute! and lovely! but I always feel like there's room for improvement. If you like neutral colors than you most likely won't love my home.
- I still have my first car from when I turned 16. It's a 1979 Chevy Rally Sport Camaro. She's sitting in my garage right now.
- I've been married once for about 7 seconds (actually 2 years from 17-19). My ex husband and I are amicable and get along fairly well.
- Inhaling cooking magazines and cookbooks is a passion of mine. I've become quite adept at veganizing recipes. Except for recipes like pork loin and grilled steak.
- When I was a teenager I wore lose baggy (read: unflattering) clothes and now I really am into fashion and accessories and can talk about it all day long. My friends have said my style is "interesting" and "quirky" and I'm totally ok with that.
- Among my least favorite stores is WalMart. I get the lower prices attract most people but the realcost of those lower items is appalling. Caveat! I do shop at WalMart on occasion. I too am attracted by the lower prices.
- My punctuation skills are highly lacking and I am aware of this. I use way too many exclamation points when I'm excited and I don't recall where to place a comma very often but I try. Cut me some slack, please. Feel free to loan me a basic punctuation book.
- I have some college under my belt. Not a lot, but I can say I have a degree.
- Kettle corn is infinitely better than any other kind of popcorn except carmel popcorn.
